Ok so I took the bottom of the drawing you made and re-drew it as a trapezoid with a base of 1”. We know that the two angles on the bottom of the trapezoid are both 30 degrees. I don’t…think so? You’re going straight in 1/8” perpendicular from each side, not 1/8” from the top and bottom.

You know the height is going to be 1/4” less, you can use pythagorean to find the new sides
